Sandton Central Park is a 14,000m2 world class park in the heart of the Sandton CBD. Smile Corp has been involved in the Park Project since its inception in 2011. With an asset upgrade and value to the city of around R4,7 million, the park has been designed to serve as a much needed green lung area within the district. Thanks to a strong relationship with JHB City Parks and sponsors Standard Bank and BlackBerry, our shared vision for the project continues to build a lasting legacy.
What we did
The official launch of Blackberry® / Sandton Central Park took place on Sunday 20 May 2012. This exciting development, was the culmination of a five year project, bringing to the residents, employees, public and tourists of Sandton Central a space to relax and take a break from the daily hustle and bustle of the city.
The park, one of the only green lungs situated in Sandton, now consists of an amphitheatre, sculptured garden areas, indigenous trees, solar powered lights, and helps to build a healthier community by providing a space where people can socialise and enjoy recreational activities and events. The fenced off park has 24 hour security and is open to the public every day.
